shady individuals living off trail
Response from Bert
Yes this area needs cross walk and one of those flashing yellow lights that warn drivers there is someone in the cross walk ( slow down) and stop
Response from Cindy
I like the idea of an overpass walkway here!

Sidewalks should be installed all the way to the high school
Response from Henry Balensifer
I completely concur. This is also an agreed priority of both the Planning and City Commission as well.

If there was a way to bring the trail just this further forward it would better connect Hammond to the trails system Right now one has to brave the often very gravelly NW Warrenton Drive shoulder to get into the slower paced safety of 6th Street to reach the marina Why couldn't a trail be built over the rock dike all the way to the east Hammond marina beach Similar to how the trail is in front of Gil's house at 17th Pl

It would be great if we could widen the shoulder here to the Dog Park A lot of foot traffic continues on 13th and complains about the speed of traffic

If there was ever some outside investment it would be nice to connect the dike trails with an overpassing pedestrian bridge I know a lot of walkers and duck hunters would like that

Trails connecting the camp grounds to higher ground like Ridge Road should be built in order to facilitate pedestrian evacuation

Consider pedestrian pathways from this area to the Ridge Road area which could serve recreationally year-round while also providing a viable tsunami evacuation route for residents without one The Fort to Sea trail provides a good model for developing a trail system in a similar environment ie wetlands

There should be sidewalks on at least the north side of 9th Street in both directions from Warrenton Grade School Children walking to newer housing area have difficulty staying safe

This would be a great place for a small pedestrian bridge so all the folks who live in the adjacent housing could easily get to the walking trail
