My parents live between Hill and the Fenton Road bridge over I-75. We would love to ride our bikes into Grand Blanc along the trail through Bicentennial, but there's no safe way for us to reach it. We'd like to see either sidewalks or a wider shoulder along Fenton as well as a safe way to cross 475.

We hope there can be allowances for trees to remain along this new stretch of pedestrian pathway, whether that means narrowing part of the pathway where needed, or curving around. Trees are as valuable to the pedestrians as the pathway itself for shade, beauty, enjoyment and health.

a bike path DIVIDED from M15 would be a great addition if the road is to be widened in this project. A simple wide shoulder w/o a division from M15 would be too dangerous on this stretch for bicycling.

Hopefully this will not just be a road widening to include a walking/ bike lane. A separated sidewalk is so very much safer and useable than a wide shoulder for families in this community.

Yes, please. Pontiac street is long overdue already, and in rough shape, even though it is a small road.

I reside literally on M15 just N. of Hills Lane. Is there a an expansion of width of the shoulder? If so, will there be notice given to residents in advance? Would any expansion of the shoulder include a bike lane? If there are expansion of the shoulders; would that be on both W and E? I would like to suggest that if not, that this expansion be considered with the idea of utilization of grants / funding of the Iron Belle trail or other pedestrian / cycling Non-profit group activities as an expansion of the shoulder would require minimal increase in costs and nether any addl. maintenance required.

In response to the question regarding work on M-15: we will be constructing 6 foot shoulders on both sides of the road for the drain project. This wouldn’t be a bike lane (which would be located within the travelway). We may be able to squeeze in 8’ shoulders for other areas along M-15 but we will need to be further along on design. I believe a press release will precede the project start date. Please let us know if you would like to be included in the project update list.

I think this a great idea! My family and I currently live in Burton and go to other communities for trails. We would love to have one close and in our community.

In my opinion, this is one of the worst roads in the county. Other fixes over the years just don't seem to last. I am so glad to see that is is getting a full rehabilitation! I drive it EVERYDAY. I can't wait to see it when it's finished.

I am so happy to see this street is getting rehabilitated. It is one of the worst streets to drive down in the area.

I hope this will not happen until I-69 is completed as this is the current detour route for the Saginaw street ramp closure.

Thank you for your comment! We reached out to the City of Flint and MDOT and can confirm that the work on I-69 will be finished before the work begins in 2023 for the W 12th Street.
