James Love the project overall and can't wait for construction to start! It would be nice to see some sort of pedestrian beacon for the crosswalk at 11th. It is one of the few non-signaled intersections on Piedmont and combined with the curve vehicles don't always stop. I'd also like to see no street parking just before the intersection as making a left from 11th on to Piedmont can be dangerous due to visibility issues.

Paula Grad At least take complete streets up to the Monroe Drive intersection. Even better, take it all the way to Buckhead. There is no good safe way to bike directly North.
Kevin keefe Bike lane is on east side of Piedmont Ave approaching 14th St. Will the 14th & Piedmont streetlight be timed to allow bikers to take a left onto 14th St's Northside bike lane?
Anonymous I agree completely with this comment. Making transition to the 14th street bikelane should be a priority.
Anonymous I bike daily to work from Virginia Highland into Midtown.
1. If the two northbound lanes are cut to a single lane north of 14th street, that would seem to create a big chokepoint for people turning left onto piedmont at rush hour. Whats the purpose of the 14th to 15th street segment? Seems like it would create more problems than its worth.
2. The bike lane along piedmont would be a great help; however, I did see somewhere that it would be one-way bike lane, which does not make much sense. it should be two-way.
Jeff The sidewalk on the south side of 11th St doesn’t exist in the last few dozen feet adjacent to Piedmont. Please build the missing sidewalk here
jeff add bulb outs to the new crosswalk at 11th and Piedmont. No matter what you do, there's no light here, so at least bumping out the sidewalks to choke the traffic and create a safer crossing would be nice.
James I see it is already on the proposed plan but really want to make sure the 11th crosswalk on Peachtree is moved to the south side of the intersection. Trying to turn left onto Piedmont from 11th requires making sure no vehicles are coming and no one is currently in the crosswalk. This can be dangerous if driver's aren't paying attention.
James Is there anyway to bury the power lines along Piedmont during this project? It would really clean up the aesthetic of the city and help prevent the power going out during inclement weather.
Comfort and Aesthetics
James Is there a reason that the dedicated left turn arrow from 10th to Piedmont comes on towards the end of the cycle rather than the beginning? This seems to be the only intersection in the city that does this and can confuse drivers.
