Interurban Crossing 4th St. facing NW. Note old rails in foreground.
Response from Anonymous
Gee, somebody took a pick in my front yard! I own and maintain this small piece of the old railway.
Response from Kevin Patmore
Although this shot is beautiful looking south, it is taken from the front yard of a house where the old interurban line used to cross. This house was built at an old train stop, but is not a single family residence and this proposed path would bisect their front yard.

Although this shot is beautiful, the view is actually looking south east, and it is taken from the front yard of a house where the old interurban line used to cross. This house was built at an old train stop, but is not a single family residence and this proposed path would bisect their front yard.

Well, currently it is used by horse traffic only. In this case, it the bicyclists who wish to usurp its use from the equestrians.

I don't want to ride under power lines if I can avoid it. Other routes avoid these.

I prefer this rout to avoid the power lines and stick closer to the river.

I know right-of-ways may be prohibitive, but I would love to see as much of this trail be off-road as possible, i.e. route 1 far preferable to route 2 in my opinion.

Proposed Route 1 is preferred in this area by the people and families who live along Proposed Route 1B as it keeps the trail further from the houses. Although Rte 1 may be locally more picturesque, it possible it will introduce disturbances in a quiet and secluded area.
