Adding more safe bike lanes & trails all over the city is a great step forward for clean air and recreation. I take my ebike on a lot of short trips where I would have taken my car. Safe travel on trails is great for my longer weekend rides... but is even more vital on city streets. I often pick up milk or a prescription on my bike or ride over to see friends. This is only possible because of the bike lanes down Alexander and Gowan. It is unsafe for me to ride the more direct route down Cheyenne.

Bike lanes for a closed access high speed roadway are unnecessary and a waste of taxpayers money... and if it is a separate path, it is an even bigger waste of money. Surface streets already exist for this slow moving traffic that does not pay fuel tax providing for the maintenance of roadways.

Yes, I would like to see a traffic revision as a result of the increased traffic in the area. Food for thought: have you considered a bicycle tax? There are a lot of cyclists that don't pay attention to the rules of the road. Maybe if they were taxed or had to be licensed......

I live at that intersection. Have you considered a roundabout? This would naturally slow vehicles before heading out onto the scenic highway and would allow for a left turn from Highway 159 to Sky Vista. Bikes should be encouraged and provided safe options for riding the scenic highway. There also needs to be more Share the Road signs on Highway 159 and vehicle speed limit needs to be enforced. Note: There also needs to be a safe pedestrian crossing at that intersection. I see people trying to dodge vehicles all the time. Thank you!

Traffic signals, assuming this means traffic lights, are a poor choice for our medium sized roads. Where space permits, these should be changed to roundabouts in order to keep traffic moving. Lights exacerbate congestion needlessly. Stop with the old, outdated traffic lights and transition to the successes we see in other countries who use roundabouts far more frequently.

Are you aware if you travel south on I-95 in the HOV lane you cannot take the I015 exit south and get off at Sahara? There is no way to move from the HOV lane to the Sahara exit because of double white lines and the layout of the roads. Instead, one has to drive up to Spring Mountain and conduct a U-turn. Was this done on purpose or did someone just forget about HOV drivers that may want to exit Sahara?

an interchange at sahara and 95 would greatly reduce traffic at the charleston and 95 interchange. i am concerned however that there are too many single left turn lanes in the area, for example at the nearby intersection of sahara and lamb that are already extremely problematic and will not doubt get worse with the increase in traffic in the area. i would imagine that the project on sahara from boulder hwy would address this though.

Sheep Mountain Parkway, as drawn on this map, is no longer a necessity in NW Las Vegas. A better solution would be to run the parkway from the 215 to Skye Canyon Parkway. Connecting the road to SR-157 will sharply increase traffic on Kyle Canyon and create a dangerous situation for both drivers and wildlife. Lower Kyle Canyon is one of the last remaining parts of NW Las Vegas in which residents can enjoy a rural lifestyle while being close to the amenities of the city. It is a sanctuary for wildlife and nature, and an increase in traffic would be massively detrimental to the area. I would encourage the modification and/or shelving of this project for decades to come.

Does this continue into Boulder City? If you keep a dedicated transit lane through the area where I-11 takes over Hwy 582, that would solve the problem of cyclists not being able to stay on the highway going into Boulder City.

Ridership in the area is extremely low and pedestrian accidents are even lower to justify the huge expenditure that this system would cost. The dedicated bus lanes on Boulder Highway north of Sahara are wasted space and money

Make a dedicated bike lane on both sides of maryland parkway that goes from russell all the way to fremont street. Drivers have no respect for cyclists on maryland parkway and ive almost been killed a dozen times riding on that godforsaken strip of land.
