It should be considered to include dogs. Potty stations with bags, signage, and trash cans should be included. This will only encourage better behavior by the owners!

As a business owner along highway 12, we see lots of people biking along the highway, and it would be great to have a safer way to travel on foot/bike/etc. from Waitsburg to Dayton. A path along the train tracks would be great!!

This is a hazardous area for pedestrians since the slight hill obstructs the view of approaching cars. Peds are also forced into traffic lanes when crossing Yellowhawk bridge. No shoulder forces peds to stumble in loose soil or risk being hit by staying in street.

Narrow bridge forces peds into roadway at a point where auto traffic is frequently at high speed.

No shoulder on Langdon combined with high speed auto and frequent truck traffic makes this a hazardous area for peds.

Residents living within city limits often venture south to Plaza Way, Langdon, South 3rd, and Cottonwood as walking, running loops. The absence of a shoulder or sidewalks combined with high speed vehicular traffic makes for an unsafe situation.

Mill Creek Trail starting at the Power House Theater on 6th and extending west to Gose Street would add over 2 miles of ~ nature trail and help fulfill a long-term goal that the community has requested. Although there is privately owned property to the south of the trail, access could be limited to the existing maintenance road just as it has been done near the Community College.

A dedicated trail could be established on the abandoned rail line creating a 2 mile segment of auto free trail between Whitman College and the Community College. This trail would also benefit wine tourism at the airport.

Path connecting to Hood Park entrance
Much needed walking route for both connecting 'west side' Burbank to Hood Park and providing a safe walking route for our school children trying to get to the library on Lake Rd....currently it is incredibly unsafe as they walk along Hwy 124 with trucks, cars and commercial vehicles...

W Whitman Drive
This is a great route for multi-use. Particularly if linked as a loop with Last Chance, Mission, and Majonier Roads. Would benefit WWU and CP High School students.

Would suggest a multi-use path that would curve in the Fort WW vicinity from Myra/Whitman to Poplar alignment.

Waitsburg to Dayton - Rail Trail
Looks like a great project, is there anyway to continue it south to connect to Walla Walla?

The stretch of road running from Walla Walla University gymnasium two Walla Walla Valley Academy is extremely dangerous for Walkers and cyclists. Literally not even a shoulder to walk on and a fence is preventing you from getting out of the way from oncoming traffic. This needs to be addressed very soon thank you

This current path has so many weeds--it's nearly impossible to bike it without getting a goat head in your tire!

It would be SO awesome if the abandoned railroad tracks could be converted into a paved/unpaved, mixed use, motorized vehicle-free path connecting Main Street/Whitman College to the Eastgate area.

Waitsburg to Dayton - Rail Trail
If possible it would be good to connect this to Lewis & Clark State Park which would enhance use of this existing park as well.

The highway crossing at Clinton Street/Hwy 12/Lower Waitsburg Road historically has had a large amount of pedestrian/bike traffic. It was never considered in the original design of the highway. It is particularly unsafe now that the barriers have been put in. I see pedestrians and bikers regularly trying to make their way through the "slalom course". It would be good if their was a public conversation addressing this well traveled and extremely unsafe corridor...

This route (extending south the alignment of Myra Rd) would be an important link in the regional non-motorized transportation network.

I think a multiuse trail would get more support by attracting cyclists, runners, joggers and hikers. Using Rails to Trails concept may be helpful. That organization is nationwide and has a lot of successful projects.
